I was in Wal-Mart (Sanger, CA) and they had clearance TV’s marked 30% off lowest price.
I bought a 42″ LG LED TV (42LK520) for $ 404.00 + $ 10.00 disposal fee + tax = $ 440.00 out the door.
Went back with my buddy yesterday and they still had the clearance rack full.
He bought a 47″ Vizio LCD TV for $ 418.60 + $ 10.00 disposal fee + Tax = $ 488.00 out the door.
The New prices are attractive, also.
I replaced a 26″ tube TV that got even by pulling my shoulder.
He replaced a rear projection 50″ TV that came out of a bar his dad bought in the 1980s.
What really worked for us was seeing the picture and the actual set we were buying.
Remember the phrase: “I’d buy that if it has a remote.”
I got a universal remote and downloaded my owner’s manual.
His came with the whole fo’shizzle.
Both were with table top mounts. They had those and wall mounts.
OK, maybe this is a warm deal, but there’s no warm deal forum.
We checked another local Wally World (Fresno, CA on Kings Canyon) and they did not have the 30% markdown, huge YMMV.
ETA: Don’t try to figure the tax rate, this was WM. OK, take the final figure and work backwards, tax rate is a little less than 9%. Yes, his total is wonky. Don’t have his specifics in front of me. I’m thinking his disposal fee mighta been higher…..
