***For people that like DeWALT tools***

Here in Atlanta, the Sunday paper had a add for Northern Tool + Equipment and on the front page it has an ad stating:

“$100 off Any DeWalt 18V Cordless Kit with Trade-in of any Non-DeWALT cordless”

I went to one location today and they were pretty picked over but still had some left (18V Drill kit included the drill, charger & two Batteries for $199, then minus the $100 trade in…walk out should have been $99 + tax….the Batteries alone cost that much), so I tried to trade in an old Black and Decker 14.4V drill…the ad does not state any specific brands but the cashier promptly stopped me and showed me a sign out front that said no Black & Decker (Plus a couple of other brands). A guy behind me had an old Craftsman drill and he got the $100 off

There was a list of a couple of brands that were not eligible (I assume since they are all owned by Black and Decker, i.e. DeWALT is part of Black and Decker)….they one’s I remember were Black and Decker, Porter Cable.

I did debate the point with them but they did not give.

Oh well…maybe someone else out there has an old POS cordless drill they can cash in on
