If you dont know all the terms of your homeowners insurance coverage, youre not alone. But theres no safety in that particular number. And you dont want to find out that youre not covered when you need it most.
Dont wait for a damage claim to call your insurance agent. You need to have a better relationship than that, says Angie Hicks, founder of Angies List, the nations leading provider of consumer reviews on local contractors and service companies.
A recent Angies List poll showed that nearly a third of respondents havent reviewed their policies with their insurance agent for more than two years. But you should have at least an annual conversation, Hicks said.
Life moves fast, and this is one of those things thats so easy to ignore, Hicks said. But you could easily be under- or over-insured and not realize it for years.
Some homeowners think the housing crisis that has affected their home value has had a similar affect on their insurance coverage needs.
Unfortunately, replacing your home could actually cost you more these days, Hicks said. This is no time to reduce your coverage. Materials and building costs arent going down and insurance premiums are based on replacement cost.
Some homeowners in Joplin learned that the hard way last year when tornadoes came through. Insurance experts in Missouri said many homes there were underinsured because policies hadnt been updated for years. In addition to the replacement costs for those homes, consumers had to deal with demolition, hauling and living expenses in the interim.
Another thing homeowners need to consider is whether they need special riders. Common riders include those that cover jewelry, art and special items. But riders are also available for injuries related to certain breeds of dogs pit bulls or Rottweilers for example. Other areas of potential liability include swimming pools and other attractive nuisances that could bring unwanted issues to your door.

I’m just curious. Some days I feel I eat too much. Some days I feel I don’t eat quite enough. Just curious. Heres mine..
Okay so my husband works 2nd shift so I dont get up til 11am or so since we dont go to bed until about 2 or 3.
12:00PM – A bowl of cereal with some vanilla cookies, lol
3:00Pm – Usually something small like a bowl of soup, a frozen dinner, something.
5:00 or 6:00PM – Another small meal like a salad, or soup (depends on the day)
8:00 PM – Another small meal like a sandwich, another bowl of cereal, etc.
This is my typical meal deal day (I stay home due to an anxiety disorder) On the weekends it changes a little but not much.

I probably drink at least 2 cups of milk during the day between the cereal and just milk. I’m not a big meat eater. Last night I went out to dinner for my moms birthday and had a craving for chicken strips but other than chicken strips I’m not a big meat eater. And I only like fried chicken I’m not big on grilled chicken or anything like that. So what are some foods that I could start eating that are higher in protein?
Oh and the first cereal of the day is my breakfast, like I said I dont wake up until 11 or 12 every day.

I don’t keep track that much. I just eat as I get hungry…whatever is going to be easy. The only thing I really focus on is breakfast…I eat hearty then and a good dinner.
You aren’t eating too much. I actually think you could eat more. I mean, what do you eat for breakfast? That’s one meal you shouldn’t skip.

Question by SeekingTruth: “A day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as a day”, What does this mean?
Ok so here is the deal, I’ve been looking at some stuff in the Bible and some comments that have been made on YA and I’ve now got this question that I need answered.
So, if we assume that Genesis is referring to ‘a thousand years’ when it refers to the 6-day creation then logically we would have to use it consistently through the bible (except where the context of the scripture tells us otherwise.)
Does this mean that when Jesus returns and sets up His thousand-year reign, that it will last for a single day (since a thousand years is as a day)?
Or does this scripture mean that time is irrelevant to God?
Do people have other interpretations of this scripture?
Why? Do people think. And what?
Dharmanator: I think you’re a little confused on the whole millennial kingdom of God. The Bible tells us that Jesus will reign for a thousand years not 365250 days (365.25 (the number of days in a year (remember we have a leap year every 4 years) X 1000).
Since it says 1000 years then we should use the scripture ‘a thousand years is as a day’ to make it a day, not change the 1000 years into days then multiply it by 1000 years! That’s not consistent.

Me and my buddies have an extravagant plot to soap a fountain in the middle of town, on fathers day, with a car show going on half a block away. we cleverly disguised my friend as an old man (shirt and hat… lame, i know) and had him dump in 5 gallons of laundry detergent. By the time it foamed up, he was at work in uniform, so it couldnt have been him? Everyone loved it, even the city worker girls who had to clean it up
