I stopped by Best Buy (Buford, GA – Mall of GA store) yesterday to check out some laptops to run some imaging equipment. I noticed that they had this Toshiba on clearance for $ 360. Specs looked good for the price. I was initially told they were sold out but the sales clerk checked and confirmed they had recently received a shipment.
I uninstalled a bunch of the bloatware that came with it and updated Win7. So far, it looks like it’s a great little laptop for the price. For those interested, I ran HyperPi 1M on it and compared against my desktop – Athlon II quad @ 2.8GHz – and it was only about 2s slower.
